When i think about a place i can feel safe, a place where i can call a home, even a place where i can say i share brothers and sisters, i think about Alliance Jiu Jitsu. It’s been Over 3 Years since i have started training at Alliance Jiu Jitsu, and i feel no other choice i have made up to this point in my life has been as impacting. I am now 19 years old trying to come as often as i can so i can share a good laugh and train hard under the academy’s great Instructors, Fabio Clemente, Babs Olusanmokun and Lucas Lepri. It’s such a great environment and everything about the academy makes it feel welcoming, from its humble abode to it’s friendly students. The students themselves contribute to a competitive yet lacks the cut throat aura seen in other places. I love this academy and i hope i can one day be honored by a black belt. Osss

I went twice when I was visiting NYC and I really liked the atmosphere and especially the instructors. The training is organized and focused. I train in California and this is probably the best gym I’ve been to.
Adam LinkeAlthough I’ve only been at Alliance NYC for less than a month, I feel that my Jiujitsu has already improved from the intense workouts, patient and detailed instruction, and support from everybody within the school. It is truly and pleasure and honor to train with so many accomplished grapplers.
Oscar LanI have been training jiu-jitsu for ten years and also like to travel. There is no school in the world that has the energy and competitive spirit that alliance NYC has. That coupled with the fact that everyone is so nice has me driving in from New Jersey (an hour and a half at times) to train, even long after I have moved out of the city. If you are looking for a place to train that has a high level of training, yet is very welcoming to beginners, Alliance New York tops the list. There is nothing better that learning in a small friendly team environment.
Kevin SheridanI moved to NYC a little over 3 and a half years ago and I started jiu jitsu 2 and a half years ago, and in that time it has become more then a hobby. Jiu jitsu is a lifestyle for me, its something I think about all the time. What alliance ny bjj means to me is more then just a school. What the teachers have created here is somewhere where I am not only learning an art that I believe to be the most functional and most enjoyable of the martial arts, but somewhere where I have met some real friends since moving to the city.
— Sam SaffmanWhat I enjoy the most is that while sparring sessions are very competitive, we respect each other as teammates and are not trying to hurt each other. We all make each other better and we don’t hold back on sharing techniques and advice. This creates a fantastic environment to train in.
— Sebastien DouiebAt Alliance we leave our egos at the door and our blood, sweat and tears on the mat. I arrive at class distracted by life, but by the end of each workout I’m refocused and feeling great.
— Miles RavitzI turned 40 years old this year, and I am stronger and fitter than I was as a Division 1 college football player in my early 20′s. I attribute this to the Jiu-Jitsu lifestyle that I have been living for almost a decade. Train hard.
